About us

WHO WE ARE

Ummah Support Initiative (USI), is a faith-based organization (FBO) established in 2003, and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/ITNO. 21447) in July 2006. We are also registered with the National Planning Commission (NPC), Nigeria. USI has a strategic focus of providing healthy interventions in the communities by working with volunteers to mitigate the impact of poverty, especially as it affects Street Children, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), women and youths in poor and underprivileged communities in Nigeria.

USI collaborate with Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and other key agencies to improve educational access to rural and urban-rural communities in Nigeria. The USI is headquartered in National Mosque Office Complex, Abuja, with field Offices in Adamawa, Bauchi, Kano, Gombe and Nassarawa States and currently in the process of expanding to other Nigerian states.

Goal

To support undeserved populations especially Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and contribute to reduction of extreme poverty in hard to reach communities
